Location & Area:

  • Officially, the Republic of Guinea, it is a coastal country in West Africa. It is bordered by Guinea-Bissau, Senegal and Mali in the north, Côte d’Ivoire in the east and Liberia and Sierra Leone in the south.
  • It covers an area of 245,857 sq km (94,926 sq miles).

  • Generally hot and humid; monsoonal-type rainy season (June to November) with southwesterly winds; dry season (December to May) with northeasterly harmattan winds.
