Abu-Bakr Lauds Religious Tolerance and Coexistence in Sudan

The State Minister and Secretary General of the Higher Council for Endowments, Orientation and Guidance, Abu-Bakr Osman Ibrahim, has lauded the unique Sudanese experiment in the field of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence between religions.

During his meeting on Tuesday 19/2/2019 at his office with the visiting counselor of New York Council, Fernando Cabrera, and head of Redeem Foundation, Rev. Dr. William Devlin, and Tawfiq Osman Salih, Abu-Bakr has pointed to the major role that can played by the media in changing the negative image about Sudan abroad and refuting the false claims relating to the religious freedoms in the country.

He referred to the appreciation expressed by visiting delegations of pastors and Christian clergy men, top of them was the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, of the level of the religious co-existence between the Muslims and Christians in Sudan.
