The first Tunisian satellite, Challenge 1, will be launched in 2020, a Tunisian lawmaker said Thursday.

“An agreement will be signed on April 1 for the official launch of the first Tunisian satellite in cooperation with the Russian spacecraft Soyuz-2,” said Mohamed Frikha, also a businessman, on his official Facebook page.

“A seminar will be held next month at the Digital Research Center of the Sfax Technology Park and will be followed by the signing of the partnership agreement for the launch of Challenge 1 with a Russian delegation,” he added.
