Foreign Minister Khemaïes Jhinaoui met his Sudanese counterpart Dardiri Mohamed Ahmed, who is leading his country’s delegation to the 30th session of the Arab Summit scheduled for March 31 in Tunis.
According to a statement from the department, the meeting discussed the agenda of the Tunis Arab Summit.
The two ministers considered it essential to put the Palestinian cause at the forefront of the Arab concerns and to support the initiatives of political resolution of the crises faced by Syria, Libya and Yemen, so as to preserve the integrity of territories and restore security and stability.
The Sudanese Minister paid tribute to Tunisia's considerable efforts to ensure the success of this new session of the Arab Summit.
The massive participation of Arab leaders in this pan-Arab era can only reflect the high profile of Tunisia as a meeting ground for all Arabs, he said.
For his part, the Tunisian FM expressed the wish to see the Tunis summit confer a qualitative change ON inter-Arab co6operation to serve the interests and causes of the Arab peoples.
The meeting also reviewed all regional and international issues of common interest and looked at the development of the Tunisian-Sudanese relations, according to the same statement.
In this regard, the two ministers reaffirmed the common will to strengthen bilateral co-operation in the various fields and to build on the important potentials available to both countries.
