Sierra Leone Ambassador: African states consider Sisi 'leader of the continent'

MENA

Sierra Leone's Ambassador in Cairo Morie Fofana on Monday 28/1/2019 said the African countries consider Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi a leader of the continent.

In statements to MENA, Fofana hailed Sisi's open policies with the continent since taking office.

He expressed hope Sisi, who will chair the African Union in 2019, would help the continent address its current challenges.

The African countries strongly rely on Egypt during its AU presidency, which will give President Sisi an opportunity to visit many African countries, the ambassador said.

He wished President Sisi will pay a visit to Sierra Leone.

The diplomat also hoped Egypt will help Sierra Leone overcome all challenges it faces to become a developed country by 2030.
